In the early 1960s, when Elmer Kusch was learning the real estate business in Central California, a company's future success often rested squarely on the integrity of its ownership. So when he was ready to start his own business, Elmer Kusch set out with two basic ideas: First, to put to good use the invaluable experience he'd gained working with Earl Eymann, one of the most respected pioneers of post World War 11 real estate in Fresno and Tulare Counties. Secondly, but just as importantly, to build a reputation which honored the trust of each and every customer, providing them with an assurance that his word was always his bond. It was on these principles that Elmer Kusch founded the Valley Land & Investment Company in September of 1965.
In the nearly 58 years since, the Kusch family business - and the family itself - has grown right along with the communities it serves in California's beautiful San Joaquin Valley. Elmer's son Roger assumed leadership of the business in 1976, and was instrumental in developing the area in Reedley now known as Kingswood Parkway Estates. Since then, a 4th generation of the Kusch family, Roger's sons Ron and Greg, have also joined the company. Roger's grandson Tyler, has been with the brokerage since 2020. Along the way, the Valley Land & Investment Company became one of the earliest Central Valley realtors to offer Spanish speaking services to its clients, and in 1970 employed the first female real estate agent in southern Fresno County.
Tyler was an amazing agent to work with. He had a lot of patience going to look at homes. He took the time to look into homes before showing it to us so that if we had any questions he would have an answer. I have had prior agents and by far Tyler has been the best. Tyler tries his very best to get you the house you are looking for and helps by sending listings to look at. Would definitely work with him again if the opportunity comes in the future.
Ron has been in the real estate business for many years, and really knows the business well. I have recommended Ron many times, and have no hesitation telling any of my friends or family to use him.

Coming from the Bay Area and not knowing the area was difficult at best. My dream was to buy a lake house, yet I had never been to any of the lakes nearby. I was making trips back and forth which only complicated things. But it wasn’t long after meeting Tyler that I was able to put it in his hands. This was all new to me and his patience and diligence made all the difference. He knew what I was looking for and often made hour-long trips in my absence. I told him to look at it as if he were buying it for himself and was going to live in it and that’s exactly what he did. I actually made an offer “sight unseen” based on his opinion. His communication, timely responses and availability are excellent. I was never left in doubt or left hanging. He is trustworthy, knowledgeable and has a great and friendly personality. He will go that extra mile to make sure you have what you want and give you his honest opinion either way. Not to mention he’s just a nice guy. You can’t go wrong!
